Nice long climb that I, like many others, took on my way to the epic Angliru. Climb is familiar from the Vuelta. The first part is through forest, but then the scenery opens up and you are treated to nice views. The road surface is good and there is little traffic. The end of the climb is extremely tough! Once at the top, you actually pass a ridge and it goes down nicely, with views of Oviedo and the Atlantic Ocean in good weather!

This climb from Pola de Lena is usually the apertif on the way to the mythical Angliru. You can expect a tough warm-up, because the often double percentages do not lie. This is a tough climb where you hardly encounter any traffic.
