Only if you pass it, the name worthy of a climb.
Big sheet to take, passed before you know it.

Lovely little climb. Not so much the climb itself, easy, but the setting. At the foot of this pile lies Mullem, a village covered in cobblestones, hidden under a few big trees. Idyllic, man, it looks like it's been copied from a Flemish novel. While starting the climb we turn away from Mullem through a few nice curves and pass a small castle. At the top we imagine ourselves in heaven, with a view like we've only seen in the Flemish Ardennes. I can recommend everyone to 'do' Den Ast. Not so much for the challenge, but for that pure, hard to describe thing we call 'enjoying'.

Heerlijk klimmetje. Idyllisch, man, zo weggeplukt uit één of andere Vlaamse roman.
