This one is avoidable. The 'cobblestones' are fake cobblestones made of concrete. Good for breaking your bike on, much worse than real cobblestones. No idea why this was done that way.

These are not real cobblestones but concrete poured with a cobblestone pattern. It bumps terribly and indeed your bike almost splatters apart. I'd rather have real cobblestones then!

The cobbles are not bad, but the padding between the stones is completely gone. So your bike totally vibrates when you ride over them. The road to the climb is also not really in good condition.

Least fun side of the Kampel - the cobbles are indeed not bad, but the regular sides of the Kampel bulge much better than this one anyway.

No really special climb. At the top, visibility is OK though. Like all the other 'climbs' in the Meetjesland you pop this up the big plate.
What is special is the way they lay the cobblestones here. Perfectly symmetrical and they bulge well. I cycle a lot and have never come across this kind of cobblestone laying. The previous review talks about treacherous cobblestones. But I suspect they have since been re-laid, because they are perfect!

The cobbles are treacherous, with a few loose stones here and there, so be careful in the first bend towards the climb.
