This little-used climb is only gravel for the last 100 metres. Before that it's tarmac, and it's in poor condition with a good number of potholes in places, but it's still quite accessible... as long as you go uphill. It's best to avoid it on the way down! There are some fine views of the surrounding area towards the end of the climb.
