In the village of Poupehan over the bridge, it is a bit steep for a while, but then quite easy climbing through the trees. Be sure to stop off in Rochehaut to enjoy the beautiful panorama over the valley or to have something to eat or drink.
In het dorpje Poupehan over de brug is het even wat steil, maar daarna vrij gemakkelijk klimmen door de bomen. Slaag zeker even af in Rochehaut om van het prachtige panorama over de vallei te genieten of iets te eten of drinken.
Fairly busy road but a good runner. Not super special but if you're a lover then drive a little left (west) into the village of Rochehaut. Here you are treated to stunning views namely, so definitely recommended!
Vrij drukke weg maar een goede loper. Niet super speciaal maar als je een liefhebber bent dan rijd je een stukje links (westen) in het dorpje Rochehaut. Hier word je getrakteerd op een schitterend uitzicht namelijk, dus zeker een aanrader!
Even slope where you can find good pace. Quite a lot of traffic though, and at the end you also have to cross a busy lane. Then a pleasant and fairly traffic-free offshoot. (Observation on 1 July 2021)
Gelijkmatige helling waar je goed tempo kan vinden. Redelijk wat verkeer wel, en op 't eind moet je ook een drukke baan over. Vervolgens een aangename en redelijk verkeersluwe uitloper. (waarneming op 1 juli 2021)
From Poupehan to Rochehaut; uphill. Quiet climb, but when descending watch out for rubbish on the road. During the changeover days at the campsites, there is a lot of rubbish on the road, so take this into account. Is a nice climb to warm up if you come from the campsite or if you come from Bouillon/Sedan you can take it with you.
Vanuit Poupehan naar Rochehaut; haut ergo omhoog. Rustige klim, wel bij afdalen opletten met rotzooi op de weg. Tijdens wisseldagen campings veel hiervan onderweg dus rekening mee houden. Is een leuke klim om op te warmen als je van de camping komt of als je vanuit Bouillon/Sedan komt kun je deze mooi meenemen.
Those who know a little about Belgian politics, know the village of Poupehan. It's quiet, small and hidden in the hills. It's a nice climb: very steady, not too steep, not too long ... You could also use it for a descent. The climb you then do (to Corbion), is also quite nice.
Wie een beetje kent van Belgische politiek, kent het dorpje Poupehan. Het is rustig, klein en verborgen in de heuvels. Het is een leuke klim: heel gelijkmatig, niet te steil, niet te lang... Je zou deze ook als afdaling kunnen gebruiken. De klim die je dan doet (naar Corbion), is ook best te pruimen.
Quite busy in the weekend with motorcycles. But you can drive pretty well on it and the road surface is not too bad, for Ardennes work.
Best druk in de weekend door motors. Maar je kan er best goed op doorrijden en het wegdek valt best mee, voor Ardennees werk.
