The beginning of this climb in particular is great and is sure to stay with you. You cycle into a beautiful rural area with a hairpin turn as a treat. Then the climb continues la g. Reasonable tarmac with occasional cracks to watch out for.
Vooral het begin van deze klim is geweldig en blijft je zeker bij. Je fietst een mooi landelijk gebied in met een haarspeldbocht als traktatie. Daarna loopt de klim la g door. Redelijk asfalt met af en toe wat scheuren waar je voor moet oppassen.
At the ford, in May only the tyres and rims got wet but it is bumpy cycling so be careful. At high tide there is a footbridge further on. Then a narrow road goes up at a nice percentage until you reach the main road (clear point) where you turn left to continue the climb. At the church, go right around it and continue up through the village where the percentage goes up a bit more. After the houses, it is mostly nice cycling out with nice views.
Bij de doorwaadbare plaats werden in mei alleen de banden en velgen nat maar het is wel hobbelig fietsen dus even opletten. Bij hoog water is er verderop een voetgangersbruggetje. Daarna gaat er een smal weggetje in een lekker percentage omhoog tot aan de doorgaande weg (overzichtelijk punt) waar je linksaf verder omhoog gaat. Bij de kerk rechts er omheen en verder door het dorp omhoog waar het percentage nog even omhoog gaat. Na de huizen is het vooral mooi uitfietsen met fraaie uitzichten.
That ditch/brook running across the road is a bit strange. In November, crossing it is not possible without getting wet feet, the water is above the ankle deep. Cycling through it is possible in itself, but then the rest is under it.... Otherwise, a fine climb.
Dat slootje/beekje wat dwars door de weg heen loopt is een beetje vreemd. In november is de oversteek niet mogelijk zonder natte voeten te krijgen, het water staat tot boven de enkel diep. Er doorheen fietsen kan op zich, maar dan zit de rest er onder... Voor de rest een prima klim.
Long running climb. Starts a bit steeper, then it becomes a runner at 2 to 3 pct. The last 1.5 km you have beautiful views and you are on top of the hill.
At the foot of the climb, on the photo on the left (not visible) runs a "river" through the road. Because of this you have to get off and cross the road.
Lange lopende klim. Begint wat steiler, nadien wordt het een loper aan 2 a3 pct. De laatste 1.5km heb je prachtige uitzichten en zit je boven op de heuvelrug.
Aan de voet van de klim, op de foto aan de linkerkant (niet zichtbaar) loopt een "riviertje" door de weg. Hierdoor moet je afstappen en oversteken.
