At the exit of the village of Veix, at the level of the cemetery, the slope rises above 12% and this, during at least 1 to 1,5km. Fortunately the slope becomes more forgiving afterwards to recover. At the top in the village of Lestards you can visit the only thatched church in France. It is a must-see.

A la sortie du village de Veix, au niveau du cimetière, la pente se cabre au-delà des 12% et ce, durant au moins 1 à 1,5km. Heureusement que la pente redevient plus clémente par la suite pour récupérer. Au sommet dans le village de Lestards on peut visiter la seule église de France à toit de chaume. Il faut la voir absolument.
