The access to this Cotacol hill is not obvious. For my part, I take the N28 from the centre of Braine-le-Château towards Nivelles, until almost the top, to go down the rue du Chapitre (a beautiful hill in the opposite direction!) and at the bottom I take the rue de l'Ermitage on the left. The hill itself is difficult to negotiate: a steep initial climb that gradually levels out, followed by a very short descent (not shown on the graph) just before turning right onto the Vieux Chemin de ... read more

The hill itself is difficult to negotiate: a steep initial climb that gradually levels out, followed by a very short descent (not shown on the graph) just before turning right onto the Vieux Chemin de Nivelles, a long climb parallel to the N28.

The whole thing is in an inhabited area and quite busy, especially in the second part. This is best done in the middle of the day, when the locals have gone to work.
