First part of the climb between houses and forest with sometimes a view in the direction of Pont-de-Sçay is steeper, then the percentages become easier and at the village of Fraiture it gets steeper again. After the village the views over the Amblève valley are the best, and the climbing is over. The name gives associations with a fat, heavy climb, but that is not so bad. Traffic is not too bad (good alternative for the N633 through the valley), and the asphalt is good for climbing. Recently cycled during a trip along the Amblève: https://nl.wikiloc.com/routes-fietsen/pont-de-scay-trois-ponts-and-back-along-the-ambleve-100-km-85314681

Sounds nice, but is much less so. You soon get the feeling that you just ate a large one with extra mayonnaise. You cross the railway and take a sharp turn so that you pass a beautiful vertical (gneiss?) wall. And that's where the trouble starts. Once you have passed a wide right hand bend, you might think that the hardest part is behind you, but that is not the case. There is another steep part that keeps on going until you have more or less left the village. And then there is another spur which is longer than the profile suggests. The climb has nice tarmac and a nice view on top of the ridge.
