Nice climb, relatively quiet road. Is nicely paved and makes it a nice climb to ride. After the climb, descend along the other side to Dieulefit and. You can visit a lovely little church!
Mooie klim, relatief rustige weg. Is keurig geasfalteerd en maakt het een fijne klim om te rijden. Na de klim langs de andere kant afdalen naar Dieulefit en. Je kan een prachtig kerkje bezoeken!
Done today for the first time even though it is only a few kms from the campsite le couspeau, the fantastic 5 star campsite in Le Poet Celard where we are staying for the second time and which is highly recommended. The climb from Le Jabron to Comps is a gem in the region. The start is difficult to find as there are no signposts but you have to leave the road at the campsite 3 km from Dieulefit. Next to the campsite it is hardly uphill but then the col bursts out with double percentages and after 1 km it is quiet but then the road shoots back up and the last 200 metres are again a struggle. But beautiful to do and hardly any traffic, fortunately because the road is very narrow but so pleasant and challenging. A hidden gem in beautiful surroundings. And fe 6％ is just an average and does not reflect the difficulty of the climb.
Vandaag voor de eerste keer gedaan ondanks dat hij op slechts enkele kms van de camping le couspeau ligt, de fantastische 5 sterren camping in Le Poet Celard waar we voor de 2de keer verblijven en een super aanrader is. De beklimming vanuit Le Jabron naar Comps is een juweeltje in de streek. De start is moeilijk te vinden want geen wegwijzers maar aan de camping op 3 km van Dieulefit moet je de weg verlaten. Naast de camping is het amper bergop maar dan barst de col los want direct dubbele stijgingspercentages en na 1 km even rustig maar dan schiet de weg terug behoorlijk omhoog om terug wat te minderen en de laatste 200 meter is weer stoempen. Maar prachtig om te doen en amper verkeer, gelukkig want de weg is zeer smal maar zo aangenaam en uitdagend. Een verborgen juweeltje in een prachtige omgeving. En fe 6％ is maar een gemiddelde maar geen weergave van de zwaarte van deee klim.
