Coll de la Garga is a nice climb. The lower part can be done in two other ways than described here: via the CV-721 which gives you four consecutive hairpin bends in the climb, or via the village of Murla. The road between Murla and Fleix was resurfaced around 2018 and therefore has excellent road surfaces, but is very irregular in terms of climbing: it has steep sections up to 14%, alternating with less steep sections and short descents. On this section, you cycle mostly through a pine forest. Between Fleix and Benimaurell, the climb is very steady and not steep. In the village of Benimaurell there is a steep part (16%) which is the start of the last 3 steep kilometres: the road gets much narrower, and the average percentage of climbing in these last kilometres is 10% (with peaks up to 16%). On the way, there are some beautiful views towards the coast.

Oefff. From the south (the CV-720) I found it tough. But with a nice reward at the top (beautiful view + optional visit to a terrace) and a nice gliding downhill back to Denia.

Oefff.

Great climb. If you take this climb from the CV-721, the climb gets a bit longer, has some more height meters and an extra hairpin bend. Also known locally as La Vall de Laguar.

Gave klim.
