Really tough climb (done on hybrid bike and succeeded... but gradients fly in the air: much more irregular than other climbs in area. Road very narrow and around lunchtime lots of traffic dar you will overtake on your way to the restaurant on top (need to make reservations)
Echt pittige klim (op hybride fiets gedaan en gelukt.. maar stijgingspercentages vliegen de lucht in: veel onregelmatiger dan andere klimmen in omgeving. Weg heel smal en rond lunchtijd veel verkeer dar je gaat inhalen op weg naar het restaurant bovenop (moet je reserveren)

The descent is a little steep and technical. But the climb is absolutely superb. A small road with a good mix of steep passages and somewhat flatter sections with hairpin bends. Simply superb.

On this section, you cycle mostly through a pine forest. Between Fleix and Benimaurell, the climb is very steady and not steep. In the village of Benimaurell there is a steep part (16％) which is the start of the last 3 steep kilometres: the road gets much narrower, and the average percentage of climbing in these last kilometres is 10％ (with peaks up to 16％). On the way, there are some beautiful views towards the coast.

Je fietst op dit gedeelte grotendeels door een dennenbosgebied. Tussen Fleix en Benimaurell is de klim zeer regelmatig en niet steil. In het dorpje Benimaurell volgt een steil stukje (16％) wat de opmaat is voor de laatste twee steile kilometers: de weg wordt veel smaller, en het gemiddelde stijgingspercentage komt in die laatste kilometers uit op 10％ (met uitschieters tot 16％). Onderweg heb je soms prachtig uitzicht richting de kust.
Oefff. From the south (the CV-720) I found it tough. But with a nice reward at the top (beautiful view + optional visit to a terrace) and a nice gliding downhill back to Denia.
