A climb for those who enjoy steep and undulating terrain. The first part of the climb is shared with the route up to Os Civis. But after the turn-off at the hamlet of Bixessarri, the climb really gets going. One hairpin bend follows another, with no two 50-metre sections having the same gradient. You’ll regularly hit 15 per cent or even higher. Along the way, you’ll pass the beautiful Santuari de la Mare de Déu de Canòlich. After a truly spectacular climb, the summit is actually a bit of a let-down. There are lovely views, but despite the 1,910 metres, you don’t get the feeling that you’ve just conquered a gruelling HC climb.
a brutal climb from the turn off to os. quite a bit of sun exposure so the heat makes it bad. pine forest starts at 3km from the top which provided great shade. unfortunately couldnt descend down to sant julia (descent not permitted). a few cars made the descending on blind hairpins tricky.
