Col du Vent from Arboras

Starting from the small village of Arboras, this is a very pleasant pass if there's no wind. Once at the top, you can switch to Navacelle with a high percentage and if you're really fit, Mont Aigoual isn't far away, starting from Le Vigan. Make sure you're in good shape, as this is an outing of over 200km.

Beautiful scenery and virtually no car traffic!

A pleasant, fairly steady climb, ideal when the wind is fair - which isn't always the case, given the name of the pass! The climb starts gently, then gradually becomes steeper without too much variation. The surface is generally good, although you need to be careful in places.
Don't expect a beautiful summit.

This small pass is very pleasant to climb when the wind is not too unfavourable, and is fairly regular apart from the slight false flat after 2 km. The road is in decent condition, except if you want to continue on to Mont St Baudille, a few kilometres further on, which offers a breathtaking view all the way to the sea. A must-do if you're in the area!
