A little busy pass before Notre-Dame-du-Lau, the rest of the route takes you through a wood with a tarmac road that can be dangerous on the descent, but on the other side (towards Jarjayes) the road is much better.

Great climb. First part is on a wide road that climbs nicely. After the village, the road becomes narrower and the road surface less, but more than good enough for cycling. Great to do with a nice round trip via Jarjayes or to Gap!
Geweldige klim. Eerste deel gaat over een brede weg die lekker klimt. Na het dorpje wordt de weg smaller en het wegdek wat minder maar meer dan goed genoeg om lekker fietsen. Prima te doen met een mooi rondje via Jarjayes of naar Gap!
The climb starts En wider valley and goes up in two stages. After the first steeper part lies the site of Notre Dame de Laus: a place where, from 1664 to 1718, Mary appeared to a local shepherdess. On Sunday morning there is a mass and it is busy on the mountain where normally there is little to do. The road winds up on very bad tarmac. Bumpy and of a very coarse kind. Really in your rhythm is not there. The descent is also careful. No visibility and bad road surface. At the top you can still choose to go deeper into the Gapençais to the right. In clear weather you can see the ridges of the Ecrins and Devoluy in the distance.
De klim start En breder dal en gaat in twee etappes naar boven. Na het eerste steilere deel ligt de site van Notre Dame de Laus: een plek waar in 1664 tot 1718 Maria aan een locale herderin verschenen zou zijn. Op zondagochtend is er een mis en is het druk op de berg waar normaal weinig te beleven is. De weg slingert over zeer slecht asfalt omhoog. Hobbelig en van een zeer grof soort. Echt in je ritme komen is er niet bij. De afdaling is dan ook opletten. Geen zicht en slecht wegdek. Boven kán je nog kiezen om rechtsom dieper in de Gapençais te gaan. Bij helder weer zie je de kammen ban de Ecrins en Devoluy in de verte.
