A very gradual climb through a narrow valley. This col is one of the three ways (Col Sint Jean and Col de Perty) to get out of the valley of the Céans and the least attractive. On the other side you enter a no man's land of wooded mountains and hills and sleepy villages. The climb actually starts at the junction of the main road to Laborel and the D116 just after Orpierre.
