The climb takes place in two stages. First there's a short climb out of Lobsann, followed by almost 2km of varying but always moderate gradients. After these 2km and a short descent, turn left following the sign "col du Pfaffenschlicht 2km" on the D51. Do not continue straight ahead on the D77.
This last section is the steepest and most interesting. The road is good, quiet and winding.
I recommend that, 300m before the pass, you turn left directly onto the Hochwald (Soultzerkopf forest road), which allows you to climb about 300m.
L'ascension se déroule en deux temps. On trouve d'abord une courte côte à la sortie de Lobsann, suivie de près de 2 km avec des pentes variables mais toujours modérées. Après ces 2km et une courte descente, prenez à gauche en suivant le panneau "col du Pfaffenschlicht 2km" sur la D51. Ne continuez donc pas tout droit sur la D77.
Ce dernier tronçon est la partie la plus pentue et la plus intéressante. La route est bonne, calme et sinueuse.
Je vous conseille d'enchaîner directement, 300m avant le col, à gauche, avec le Hochwald (route forestière du Soultzerkopf), ce qui permet de faire une montée d'environ 300m.
