Ce col ne se découvre qu’a la fin. On m’avait dit qu’il était dur mais je pensait qu’on m’avait menti quand j’étais en train de faire les premiers kms. Mais non, il est vraiment compliqué à la fin. Il ne faut pas exploser et il faut garder des force dans la première partie. De très beau paysages et très peu de voiture.

Minder steil dan de kant vanuit Seyne. De eerste 4.5 km zijn niet steil en goed om wat tempo te maken maar op een bepaald moment gaat de weg steil omhoog en zijn er echt hele steile, pittige stukken bij van zo'n 15％. Het laatste deel is veel zwaarder dus houd nog wat over.

From Digne-les-Bains it's a nice trip through a gorge with sometimes very narrow passages. The climb itself starts very easy but beware, the devil is really in the tail. Avoid the climb on hot days, the asphalt and fine gravel stick to your tires.
Vanuit Digne-les-Bains is dit een mooie tocht doorheen een kloof met soms erg nauwe doorgangen. De klim zelf begint heel gemoedelijk maar let op, het venijn zit echt in de staart. Vermijd de klim op hete dagen, het asfalt kleeft dan samen met het fijne grind aan je banden.
