It is a nice, not very difficult climb with lots of views over the wide valley. This climb goes along one of the busier roads in the area. Especially the D618 is very busy. However, there is plenty of room for cyclists on the road. As an alternative, I cycled this climb once from Mt Louis over the Route des Artigues and via Bolquere and the Route de la Serre to the D618. Het is een mooie, niet heel zware klim met veel uitzicht over het brede dal. Deze klim loopt langs een van de drukkere wegen in het gebied. Zeker de D618 is zeer druk. Er is wel ruimte genoeg voor fietsers op de weg.
Als alternatief heb ik deze klim ook een keer vanaf Mt Louis over de Route des Artigues gefietst en via Bolquere en de Route de la Serre naar de D618. Veel mooier, grotendeels nieuw asfalt en heel rustig.
