Beautiful. Venasque is well worth a stop for the views.

A pleasant climb on a beautiful road with little traffic (February). The descent takes in Senanque Abbey, followed by a one-kilometre climb before dropping back down to Gordes.

Not too difficult climb towards the beautiful (but busy Gordes), the road itself is not busy and first runs through the typical Provencal landscape. Halfway right (left the col de Murs) up where you have on the right side a beautiful view towards the Rhone. After this the road meanders through a Gorge. After the gorge the road flattens a bit. At the top you have to turn left (because of a one-way street) direction Murs/Gordes.
