A rather irregular climb through what could pass as agricultural territory with a rough touch. It all starts on the D900. Once the lake of Serr-Ponçon is behind you, you turn left on the D951 in the territory of Théus. The road, otherwise in good condition goes almost immediately from false flat to slightly ascending without getting really steep . Once out of Bréziers you descend for a while and then, except for a few short and tough stretches, climb at a gentle pace. It's not a tiring climb at all which, as you go higher, gets a "wilder" view. I rode up it at a sauntering pace because.... an enigmatic scenery. Be careful on the descent to Selonnet. Which is, in a word, downright "dangerous" because of the state of the road surface. This is a big patchwork. It took me almost 15 minutes to descend 6 kilometres, with brakes half-tightened. It was really one crack against the next hole. I think even doing the climb along this side can be no fun. So looking out is the message.
