I did it in June in fairly stifling heat because there's not much air in many parts of the climb, even in early June! After that, there's quite a bit of traffic, even in June, so it's not the best pass, to be honest, but the road afterwards is very nice, so I'd still recommend doing it, plus there's no steep sections // it took me 35 minutes of bikepacking with gravel bikes weighing 18kg.
