A pass located on a fairly busy road (although almost all of them are in this highly urbanised region), the Col de Nice on its southern side fortunately offers an alternative to the main road, the D2204: after around 2km, take a road to the right, the D321, which is much quieter and passes through the village of Blausasc. This road joins the D2204 just before the pass. Note that if you climb via the main road, there are 4 hairpin bends towards the end.
The Col de Nice will be climbed by the riders of the 2024 Tour de France on the penultimate stage; in fact, it serves as a prelude to the ascent of the Col de Braus, which reaches an altitude of 1,002 metres.
