A rolling, easy and pleasant pass. Ideal for getting back into climbing after the winter. The road is clean. Not much to see. The scenery at the finish is pleasant but not breathtaking.
Lots of bikers at weekends. Lots of cyclists too.
In the village of Leschaux, there are public toilets, a water point and a small tyre inflation and repair station.
Next to it, a painting in honour of the winner of the first Tour de France.

A very rolling pass with a gentle, even gradient. Most of the route is in the shade, with lovely views of the lake and La Tournette, as well as the other peaks surrounding the lake. Traffic can be heavier in summer, at weekends and on the way to and from work. A good transitional pass between Annecy and the Bauges, or a warm-up pass for the Semnoz.

La circulation peut être plus importante en été, les week-ends et aux horaires d'aller-retour au travail. Bon col de transition entre Annecy et les Bauges ou d'échauffement pour le Semnoz.
A nice easy and steady climb, on the way to Semnoz peak. A bit long but generally mild gradient. Went on a Saturday early morning in September and had no traffic. Nice views over the lake in the first 1/4 of the ride. Break at the Col de Lascheaux, before attacking Semnoz

Durant le début de l'ascension on peut avoir une petite vue sur le lac mais pour une meilleure vue je conseille de monter Semnoz après. La facilité de la pente permet de se sentir rapide et d'accélérer très aisément ce qui est fort agréable. Je mets 4 étoiles car j'ai adoré mais malheureusement pas de vue au sommet,

Great beginners climb, a long and linear run with little sharp corners, ideal for keeping your speed the way down.
