Het eerste deel door de gorge is erg mooi, en langzaam klim je dan het dal uit. Vanaf Puyvalador rijdt je over een soort hoogvlakte waar de wind vrij spel heeft, en met tegenwind is het vanaf daar tot aan de top flink lastig.
