A pretty pass from Léoncel.
It's quite steep up to the Auberge de l'Echaillon, but it's not unmanageable. The auberge offers a few hundred metres of respite, but after that it picks up again with at least 7％, easing off towards the end.
The pass is after the tunnel, at the start of the descent.
Most of the ascent is in the cool of the forest.
Not much of a view on the way up, but the panorama at the pass is well worth the diversions!
Joli col au départ de Léoncel.
Jusqu'à l'auberge de l'Echaillon, c'est plutôt raide, mais sans que ce soit infaisable. L'auberge offre quelques centaines de mètres de répit, mais après, ça reprend avec au moins du 7％, qui s'adoucissent sur la fin.
Le col est après le tunnel, dans le début de la descente.
Montée en grande partie au frais de la forêt.
Peu de vue sur la montée, mais le panorama au col vaut le détour !
After the Col de Tourniol, we also took this climb. Only when you come out of the forest after 6 km do you get a nice view. Climb is doable, sign with "Col" is 200 metres behind the tunnel.
Na de Col de Tourniol deze klim ook meegenomen. Pas als je het bos uit komt na 6 km krijg je een mooi uitzicht. Klim is goed te doen, bordje met "Col" staat 200 meter achter de tunnel.

Nice climb of which the centre of gravity is in the beginning. The last kilometres are easy. Pity that there are no places to drink or eat at the top.
Leuke klim waarvan het zwaartepunt in het begin ligt. De laatste kilometers zijn makkelijk. Jammer dat er boven geen drink- en eetgelegenheden zijn.
