There's nothing insurmountable up to the pass, the gradient is even and the road is of fairly good quality. The last 3 km are nothing to write home about. The road bends but deteriorates until you're driving on gravel. Nice view at the top
Rien d’insurmontable jusqu’au col, pente régulières et route de plutôt bonne qualité. Les 3 derniers km n’ont rien à voir, la route se cambre mais se détériore jusqu’à vous faire rouler sur des graviers. Belle vue au sommet

Mooi klim tot col de l'ouillat. Neem voor een kop koffie bij Albert cash mee. Na de slagboom slecht wegdek met veel gaten en grind. Check de omstandigheden even want na een kilometer verder klimmen werd ik bijna omver geblazen door de wind. Besloten niet verder te rijden. Wind was ook in de afdaling veradelijk gevaarlijk.

Nice climb from Le Perthus, calm and quite regular. The surface is good until Ouillat (after that it gets really bad...). Up to the Col de l'Ouillat green markers every km show you the ％ to come and the altitude reached. There are still 2 or 3 missing (stolen, torn off??).
I confirm the very bad state of the Ouillat surface at the summit of Pic Neulos. There are holes, tar is missing and there is gravel. It is possible to ride a road bike but you have to be careful on the descent.

Belle montée depuis Le Perthus, calme et assez régulière. Le revêtement est correct jusqu'à l'Ouillat (après cela se gâte sérieusement...). Jusqu'au Col de l'Ouillat des bornes vertes tous les kms vous indiquent le ％ à venir et l'altitude atteinte. Il en manque tout de même 2 ou 3 (volées, arrachées??).
Je confirme le très mauvais état du revêtement de l'Ouillat au sommet du Pic Neulos. Il y a des trous, il manque du goudron et il y a des graviers. C'est jouable en vélo de route mais il faut être prudent dans la descente.

Aanrader. Mooie lange klim, wegdek goed. Tot aan col d’ouilliat. Daar ook een berghut waar je koffie kunt drinken.
Daarna wegdek ietsjes minder, maar absoluut nog met de racefiets te doen, hier en daar een put in de weg die wel te ontwijken is.
Ik zou zeker tot aan de top klimmen, heb dit al meerdere keren gedaan. Mooie vergezichten op de top.
Today I was able to ride up to the top, you can (and may) just pass the barrier. Asphalt is indeed a bit less between Col de l'Ouillat and the barrier but that improves again afterwards. Last kilometers are pretty steep but no cars and the view at the top is beautiful.
Vandaag tot aan de top kunnen rijden, de slagboom kan (en mag) je gewoon passeren. Asfalt is inderdaad iets minder tussen Col de l’Ouillat en de slagboom maar nadien betert dat terug. Laatste kilometers zijn vrij steil maar zonder auto’s en het uitzicht op de top is prachtig.
