An alternative route is the descent from Col de Saint Pancrace to Col de Guerre. It has been included in the Paris-Nice Challenge 2022 route (13 March 2022) and was done by me. Nice quiet descent with little traffic (in March). It was cold and stormy that day. Watch out for the gusts of wind.
