This is an interesting version of one of the many that provide access to the Col de Champ-Laurent.
It's not the most difficult, but it's not the easiest either.
You have to leave the D27 at the small hamlet of Les Curtets and take the D24 towards La Table. The road rises quickly and you can see the village below, but unfortunately the awful pylons of a high-voltage power line spoil the scenery, making it impossible to take any photos.
The first 6 kilometres are tough with gradients of between 8 and over 9 %, some sections at 10 and even 11 %, the traffic is very calm, the tarmac is good but grainy.
Arriving at the D23 junction, you have to turn left towards La Table, there are then about 8Km irregular, mostly on gentle slopes, but some passages are quite steep especially the crossing of Glapigny and Champ-Laurent.
I spiced things up a bit by turning right at the junction with the D23 and then left a few hundred metres later on the tiny road that passes through the hamlets of Le Defay, Le Faud, La Provenchère and Le Mollard to rejoin the classic route at La Table.
It's very pretty as you can see the Vallée des Huiles road below (another version).
I realised as I was crossing Les Fugains that there was another possible variant (it's crazy), turning left towards Montmalfou, this road joins the classic route well after La Table and must be very steep.
Have a nice day!

The first 6 kilometers were hard with percentages around 10%, it didn't help that I was riding up in the heat of the day. Second half much easier, with occasional small descents to rest the legs. Sometimes a nice view, not spectacular, but a nice downhill afterwards.
