It's not my favourite pass, either on this side or on the other, from Sospel.
The road is clean and pleasant to drive up and down, but nothing really catches the eye or leaves me with any particular memories.
That is, of course, if you look at the structures being rebuilt after storm Alex.
The end features a nice ramp with percentages at 12％.
We finish the climb in front of an inn for sale....
There are so many more exciting passes around.
Ce n’est pas mon col préféré ni par ce versant, ni par l’autre, depuis Sospel.
Une route départementale propre et plaisante à monter comme à redescendre mais rien n’accroche vraiment le regard, rien ne me laissera un souvenir particulier.
Si, bien entendu, on s’attarde sur les ouvrages en reconstruction après le passage de la tempête Alex.
La fin présente une jolie rampe avec des pourcentages à 12％.
On finit l’ascension devant une auberge en vente…
Il y a tant d’autres cols plus excitants dans les environs.
