A beautiful and challenging climb in two tough stages where you go through both forest and agricultural land. On the descent, nice views of the second part of the climb towards Oneux. In terms of scenery and character imho worth 5 stars. Unfortunately the tarmac in the first climb is poor (and gets progressively worse towards the first summit) - the rest of the course does have fine tarmac - and with cyclists in mind still a star less.
Een prachtige en uitdagende klim in twee pittige fases waarbij je zowel door bos als door agrarisch gebied gaat. Bij de afdaling mooi uitzicht op het tweede deel van de klim richting Oneux. Qua landschap en karakter imho 5 sterren waard. Helaas is het asfalt in de eerste klim matig (en wordt tegen de eerste top steeds slechter) - de rest van het parcours heeft wel prima asfalt - en met wielrenners in het achterhoofd toch een ster minder.
A two-stage rocket. The first part goes through a picturesque road steeply through the forest, with a few hectares of double digits at the end. Once you have conquered this part, you can catch your breath to start the second part. Here too, the climb is steep, with occasional panoramic views of the surroundings. In the village of Oneux, the climb fortunately levels off.
Een tweetraps raket. Het eerste deel gaat via een pittoresk weggetje steil doorheen het bos, met op het einde enkele hectometers aan dubbele cijfers. Eenmaal dit gedeelte overwonnen kan je even op adem komen om het tweede deel aan te vatten. Ook hier gaat het stevig omhoog met hier en daar een weidse blik op de omgeving. In het dorpje Oneux vlakt de klim gelukkig af.
Very nice climb in beautiful surroundings. The first part goes through the forest. From the short descent you can see the second part running through the meadows. Asphalt is not great, but certainly acceptable.
Narrow track, best not to choose it as a descent.
Heel mooie klim in een prachtige omgeving. Het eerste stuk loopt door het bos. Vanop de korte afdaling zie je mooi het tweede deel lopen door de weiden. Asfalt is niet schitterend, maar zeker aanvaardbaar.
Smal baantje, best niet als afdaling kiezen.
