The first and spicy part of the route runs between houses but the road winds nicely and there is little traffic. Near the last houses, the steepest part is until just before the barrier, which was open (and by the looks of it, it hasn't been closed for a long time). After that, the climb flattens out. Before Oneux there is a short flat section with very bumpy tarmac after which it continues - over good tarmac 0 to the end.

I can only agree with PeletonDesArdennes. Via Chemin d'el Haut is more fun. There is not much to do. Road is in bad condition. But uphill is not a disaster. Long spur to past Oneux through fields with an occasional nice view of the valley.

Ik kan PeletonDesArdennes alleen maar gelijk geven. Via Chemin d'el Haut is leuker. Veel valt er niet te beleven. Weg is in slechte staat.

From the center of the village you drive on the steepest part of this climb through a residential area. Because there is no passage for through traffic at the top of the barrier, this is a very quiet part. At the barrier (which in my case was even open!) there's a bench to rest on and enjoy the view if you need to. From here on it gradually climbs upwards with a few steep bumps. Recommended if you prefer to avoid major roads.

I would avoid the part with the barrier, and take the parallel running "Chemin d'el Haut".
Very narrow lane, not recommended to descend (then you better take the main road to Theux)

To call this climb a gem is going a bit far. The climb goes mostly along large villas. The road is very quiet and only at the end you get more views. Nice running climb that may certainly in the route if you're in the area.
