A great alternative to the climb up to Ternant. Difficult first part up to the pond after which it's easier. A great way to get to the volcanoes! Just a stone's throw from Clermont!

A very similar climb to Ternant, slightly further south. I like this one a little less because there is more traffic and it is much less regular (some people prefer it that way!). The climb is in two parts, with a slight descent after l'Étang. A good climb for your short everyday outings if you're looking for a change of altitude near Clermont.
