I think this is the most beautiful side of the climb. It is the most challenging side with some hairpin turns. All in all, it is not a difficult climb with a very consistent gradient

Done it again today to add some pictures. The first part which is the main road to Dieulefit hurts because of the full sun but for me it is a motorway so not very pleasant but constant 6%. Just past the campsite you have to turn left into a much narrower lane but the gradients almost double. After about one kilometre, you can let your legs cool down, but only for a few hundred metres, because then it starts all over again. A real winner, but a pity about the first part.

Just a correction on my first experience because the 2nd part of the climb to the turnoff to Orcinas is a nice quiet road compared to the first part of the climb which is on a busy and dangerous road.
The second part is really the opposite of the first and super pleasant to cycle. Note that it can be hot here and that there's no drink available at the top. There are hardly any houses and certainly no shops so best to get supplies in Bourdeaux or during the first part of the climb on the campsite is also a shop. The second part is an irregular climb with here and there a fairly steep piece but so beautiful between the green forests and here is a pleasant shade on many pieces. I would have given it at least 4 stars if the first part was the same as the part after the turn.

In my opinion one of the least beautiful climbs in that beautiful area especially because it is a busy road, especially in the summer months. It is the connecting road between Bourdeaux and Dieulefit.
Also, as usual in France, there is no bike path and therefore a bit dangerous.
