A good climb up to Champ du Feu on the north-east side.
The road is okay, but has not yet been completely resurfaced (except at the top).
The first two km are easy, followed by 2 km that are much steeper (9 and 8%). In the second half, the gradient is generally 6-7%, softening as you approach the Col de la Rotlach. Above this pass a section of around 600m is at 10%.
Once you reach an altitude of 1000m, you can turn right as indicated in the profile (and reach Rothau via Struthof), or finish at Champ du Feu straight on.
The route is entirely wooded, except for the final section.
Up to the Col de la Rotlach, the road is calm.
