Lovely quiet climb in beautiful surroundings. Flattens out at the end near Ceillac. In Ceillac the necessary pleasant catering establishments. The two valleys after Ceillac are also worthwhile to cycle for a while.
Heerlijk rustige klim in een prachtige omgeving. Vlakt op het laatst bij Ceillac af. In Ceillac de nodige prettige horeca. De twee dalen na Ceillac zijn ook de moeite waard om een stuk in te fietsen.
Beautiful climb that is nevertheless quite steep. The top is a bit strange and crowded but the climb itself is beautiful
Prachtige klim die toch vrij steil is. De top is beetje vreemd en druk maar de klim zelf is mooi
Very nice climb. With lots of hairpin bends. The first kilometres are the toughest but it keeps going up quite a bit everywhere. The road runs along the water. At the top it flattens out until you get to ceillac. We cycled on until the road stopped. There would be a waterfall there but we couldn't see it from the road.
Hele mooie klim. Met heel veel haarspeldbochten. De eerste kilometers zijn het zwaarst maar hij blijft overal wel flink omhoog lopen. De weg loopt langs het water. Boven vlakt het af tot je in ceillac komt. Wij zijn doorgefietst totdat de weg ophield. Daar zou een waterval zijn maar die konden wij vanaf de weg niet zien.
Nice climb. And the laces!!! Now that's real hairpin bends! The first few kilometres are steep. The road surface is excellent. There are a few gravel bumps to watch out for on the way down. The descent is sublime thanks to the ultra-tight switchbacks. There's a ski resort up there, plenty of food and a beautiful waterfall (Cascade de la Pisse, sic...) 2 km after Ceillac. Yes, a beautiful walk.
Belle ascension. Et les lacets !!! Ça, c’est du vrai lacet ! Les premiers km sont bien raides. Le revêtement de la route est excellent. Quelques gravillons dont il faut se méfier en redescendant. La descente, justement est sublime grâce aux lacets ultra serrés. Là haut, une station de ski, de quoi se restaurer et cette belle cascade (Cascade de la Pisse, sic…) qui est à 2 km après Ceillac. Oui, une belle ballade.
Beautiful climb (one of the most beautiful in the area), continuously steep. As far as I'm concerned, the real climb is 6.5km, then more or less flat. Scenically beautiful, good tarmac and lovely short hairpin turns. The valley you emerge from is stunning.
Prachtige beklimming (een van de mooiste in de omgeving), continu steil. Wat mij betreft is de echte beklimming 6,5km, daarna min of meer vlak. Landschappelijk prachtig, goed asfalt en prachtige korte haarspeldbochtjes. Het dal waar je uitkomt is schitterend.

Beautiful climb together with other camping guests (level d'argent 😊) of Camping La Vieille Ferme in Embrun (also recommended). Pretty steep, so for me (87 kilos) low tempo, but pedalling on will get you there 🤗. Don't want to start too fast and the last part is a real gift.
Prachtige klim samen met andere campinggasten (niveau d’argent 😊) van Camping La Vieille Ferme in Embrun (ook aanrader). Lekker steil, dus voor mij (87 kilo) laag tempo, maar met doortrappen kom je der wel 🤗. Niet te snel willen beginnen, en laatste stuk is echt cadeau …

What a great climb. Quiet, good tarmac, beautiful scenery, great hairpin bends and secretly quite steep. One of the absolute musts in this cycling paradise near Briançon.
Wat een heerlijke klim. Rustig, prima asfalt, mooie landschappen, geweldige haarspeldbochten en stiekem best wel heel erg steil. Een van de absolute aanraders in dit fietsparadijs nabij Briançon.
Beautiful climb, ditto descent. And very quiet. The waterfall is about 2.5 km beyond the village, but absolutely worth it!
Schitterende klim, dito afdaling. En heerlijk rustig. De waterval is zo'n 2.5km voorbij het dorp, maar absoluut de moeite waard!
Today I did this climb with 2 friends. Yesterday we also climbed the I'Zoard and you can feel this mountain in your legs :)

Vandaag met 2 vrienden deze beklimming gedaan. Gisteren ook de I'Zoard beklommen en dan voel je deze berg wel in je benen :)
Mooie beklimming met steeds een snel stromend beekje langs de weg.
De waterval is ook erg mooi, maar ligt wel iets meer dan 1 km vanaf het begin van het dorpje

And then in the village itself, take the road up to the Vallée de Christillan. A beautiful climb of about 6 km. First very hard, then flattening, but continuously steep. You come against no man. Asphalt is in some places not top, but good to do.
En dan in het dorpje zelf, de weg omhoog nemen naar de Vallée de Christillan. Schitterende klim van zo'n 6 km. Eerst zeer zwaar daarna afvlakkend, maar continu steigen. Je komt geen mens tegen. Asfalt is op sommige plekjes niet top, maar goed te doen.
