This short climb is well worth the diversions and can be followed either by the Col d'Eze from Villefranche or the ascent of Mont Boron and then Fort Alban, before continuing on to the Col des 4 Chemins via the Chemin du Vinaigrier. The road itself climbs well, very well, and takes you to the corniche with its sea views and large, beautiful houses. The road at the top is busy but has a cycle lane, so it's fine.... read more

First hill in Nice. It's a lovely place. Lots of traffic, of course, but drivers are careful with cyclists here. It twists and turns upwards. Nothing too violent. Arrived in front of the Château de l'Anglais. A pleasant ride.
