The road surface is very good all things considered. One of Gwynedd’s toughest and best challenges. Wasn’t busy.

Like a fish out of water. Truly gasping but no dabbing and a valuable insight into my level of non fitness. Nice views and descent.

A must-do climb, if only to prove to yourself how far you can push without putting a foot down.

Very few climbs in the UK can sport such severe, continuous gradient as this; thankfully the road surface is decent and although really narrow, it's a great climb... the views! the Views! Insanely good and dramatic.

Can't believe this has no reviews yet. A long, tough challenge, scaling the side of a dramatic scree-strewn valley. The tight righthand corner near the bottom is probably 33% on the apex of the bend, but since we ride on the left in UK it's more like only 20% you need to tackle. Very quiet road, well-surfaced. A few sheep for company. Valley is angled to catch and funnel the prevailing wind, which can be helpful when going up.
