Ridden on Sunday afternoon after the, very calm on the track. A climb to pick up some pace while. The S winds around a church with some terraces and bars along the way.
Op zondagnamiddag gereden na de, zeer kalm op de baan. Een klim om wat tempo te maken terwijl. De S slingert rond een kerk met een aantal terrassen en bars langs de weg.
Nice little mountain due to the prominence of the Brabantse Pijl finale. Fairly constant so a nice pace to the top. The swinging is fun, but you can't really call it hairpin bends.
Leuk bergje door de bekendheid van de finale van Brabantse Pijl. Redelijk constant dus een mooi tempo naar boven. Het slingertje is lachen, maar echt haarspeldbochten kan je het niet noemen
Hairpins like this are not to be found in the north of this country... it is this "S-bocht" that makes this coast special. As for the rest, I can only confirm what bigigodin said: it is generally quite unpleasant to climb because of the heavy traffic on the N4. Fortunately, there are less crowded alternatives: the IJskelderlaan, the Schavei, the Taymansstraat (just after the S), or even the Kardaan for those who like (very) steep cobbled slopes.
Des épingles à cheveux comme cela, on n'en trouve guère au nord de ce pays… c'est ce « S-bocht » qui rend cette côte particulière. Pour le reste, je ne peux que confirmer les propos de bigigodin : elle est généralement franchement désagréable à grimper en raison du trafic intense sur la N4. Heureusement, il y a des alternatives moins fréquentées : la IJskelderlaan, le Schavei, la Taymansstraat (juste après le S), ou même le Kardaan pour les amateurs de (très) fortes pentes pavées.
Famous circuit because of the many cycling races that take place here. The famous "S" d'Overijse is not so difficult and the climb that follows is quite regular. The difficulty comes from its length and especially, in my opinion, from the danger of the many trucks and cars that drive by and dangerously brush against you. Conclusion: not pleasant at all!
Circuit célèbre car y passent de nombreuses courses cyclistes. Le fameux "S" d'Overijse n'est pas si difficile et la montée qui s'ensuit est assez régulière. La difficulté vient de sa longueur et surtout, selon moi, du danger des nombreux camions et voitures qui y circulent et qui vous frôlent dangereusement. Conclusion : pas agréable du tout !
