It’s a tough climb requiring good gearing. Plenty of refreshment options in Schierke (supermarket and coffee places) and on the top of Brocken as well. Wasn’t too crowded in July 25 and the last 5 km or so is car free

Quite busy near the top with cars and people, but a fantastic view from up there. A climb that should be durable for most people and with nice surroundings too.

Nice climb. First part from Elend is quite tough. To Schierke even a bit of a descent, then mostly not steep, but last km to the Brocken is a bit of a struggle. On a beautiful Friday in July, it was not busy. From piece after Schierke closed for cars. Last km quite some hikers, but no problem.
