To be honest; I took a slightly different route than this one, but its still very comparable. The roads in the brocken nature reserve are very good, and cars are forbidden in the area so it was great for cyclists. However, I do want to give 1 major warning; make sure you have a dry (and waterproof) piece of clothing with you for the descent. The peak is so moist that it feels like rain and the average temperature is 2,9 degrees celsius. In other words; if you don't warm yourself by cycling (as you would on the climb), it is a very very cold experience (which isnt ideal for decending).
