The ascent uses a little frequented road, it allows to reach the massif of Haut Fôlin from the surroundings of the lake of Pannecière without crossing vehicles or almost. On arrival in the hamlet of Les Brenets there is a beautiful view of the surrounding countryside, then there is a succession of ascents and descents before arriving at the village of Arleuf, there is a good 200m steep climb at the entrance to this village when coming from Les Brenets.
