This isn't a deserted road! It's a busy place! Lorries come to load blocks of stone in a quarry. Further on, tree trunks are cut and stored for the sawmill on the mountain. All by lorry...
And yet, this ascent is going very well and the drivers are very attentive to cyclists. Don't worry: there aren't many lorries, and they're not in a hurry.
The road is very decent but only really climbs for three kilometres.
The village of Braux isn't a splendour, but the locals are very friendly. Eight women sitting in a circle in the main square quizzed me about my walks for over an hour...
The scenery is not bad. The 7 kilometres go by very quickly. All in all, an easy and pleasant climb.
Ce n’est pas une route déserte ! Ici, ça bosse ! Des camions viennent charger des blocs de pierres dans une carrière. Plus loin, on coupe des troncs d’arbres et on les range pour la scierie de la montagne. Toujours en camions…
Pourtant, cette ascension se fait très bien et les chauffeurs sont ultra attentifs aux cyclistes. Pas d’inquiétude : ces camions ne sont ni nombreux, ni pressés.
La route est très convenable mais elle ne grimpe réellement que sur trois kilomètres.
Le village de Braux n’est pas une splendeur mais les habitants sont ultra sympas. Huit femmes assises en rond sur la place principale m’ont questionné sur mes balades pendant plus d’une heure…
Les paysages ne sont pas vilains.
Les 7 kilomètres passent très vite.
En somme, une côte facile et plaisante.
