1st part in a straight line to just before the abbey, with a lovely view of the mountains opposite. A very steady climb.
2nd part from the abbey to the fountain, that's where it gets fun. Climb through the forest with no view of the landscape, it's green and fresh. Narrow road in poor condition with gravel in the middle and potholes in places. Very poor yield.
Very irregular climb, constantly going from 7 to 11 ％ with sections at 14 ％ or even 20 over a hundred metres.
There's nothing exceptional about the fountain or the view from the top, but take the time to admire the view from the 2 Belvedere a little further down.
A climb to do for the challenge or to hurt yourself but not for the beauty of the road during the ascent.
It reminded me of the grand colombier by Virieux le petit.

1 ère partie en ligne droite jusqu'à un peu avant l'abbaye, une joli vue sur les montagnes en face. Montée très reguliere.
2 ème partie de l'abbaye jusqu'à la fontaine, c'est la ou ça devient marrant. Montée dans la forêt sans vue sur le paysage, c'est vert et frais. Route étroite en mauvaise état avec gravier au milieu et nid de poule par endroit. Rendement très mauvais.
Montée très irrégulière on passe constamment de 7 à 11 ％ avec des portions à 14 ％ voir 20 sur une centaine de mètres.
La fontaine n'a rien d'exceptionnel et la vue la haut no plus par contre prenez le temps d'admirer la vue au 2 Belvédère un peu plus bas en redescendant.
Une montée à faire pour le défi ou se faire mal mais pas pour la beauté de la route pendant l'ascension.
Ça m'a fais penser au grand colombier par Virieux le petit.

Then the forest and the tiny little black road change everything on this climb, which also becomes very, very steep. It's a tough climb. It really is a climb to test yourself. In my opinion, a real hidden gem.

The view from the Belvédère de Bragousse just before reaching the bear is splendid. Don't hesitate! One of the most beautiful in the Hautes Alpes.
Une petite dinguerie ! Tout va bien jusqu’à la petite abbaye romane du XIIè siècle qui se visitera à la redescente. Juste, une étrange et interminable ligne droite sous le soleil. Puis, la forêt et la minuscule petite route noire et toute mignonne changent tout à cette ascension qui de plus, devient très, très raide. C’est costaud. Vraiment une côte pour se tester. Selon moi, un vrai joyau caché. Un joyau qui te mange les mollets. La descente est dingue aussi. Mais mains sur les freins.
Le Granon ? Même plus peur…
La vue depuis le Belvédère de Bragousse juste avant d’arriver vers l’ours est splendide. N’hésitez pas ! Une des toutes plus belles des Hautes Alpes.
As said before, a very nice climb, with some steep sections.
Most of the route is in the forest, it's very pleasant, especially in hot weather.
A long, perfectly straight and well surfaced line of 2km at the beginning, with 8-9％ slope, in the downhill direction 100 km/h can quickly be reached if you let go of everything (but it remains dangerous, and beware of the risk of falling!)
Comme dit précédemment très belle montée, avec des passages raides.
L'essentiel du parcours se fait dans la forêt, c'est très agréable, surtout par temps chaud.
Longue ligne parfaitement droite et en bon état de revêtement de 2km au début, avec 8-9％ de pente, dans le sens de la descente les 100 km/h peuvent rapidement être atteints si on lâche tout (mais ça reste dangereux, et attention au risque de chute!)
8km with gradients sometimes so high that you are on the verge of falling off the bike: beginners please don't! It's a great challenge and we explode the watts!
