Found it very heavy. That was mainly because of the steep part in the village. But I also didn't have the right gears. I started from Ile Rousse. And indeed, the views at the top are beautiful. Water source on the way, it was hot.
Vond hem erg zwaar. Dat kwam vooral door dat steile stuk in het dorp. Maar ik had ook niet de juiste verzetten. Ben gestart vanaf Ile Rousse. En inderdaad, de uitzichten boven zijn prachtig. Waterbron onderweg, het was warm.
This variant of the Battaglia that starts from Nessa starts with a good warm-up over the first few kilometres, but then turns right at the church where there is a stretch of 350 metres à 15％ average. Largely standing on the pedals from here it actually starts in earnest. The last 5 km continue at almost 10％ average to the top, making it a pretty tough climb. Every km, a sign informs you what the next km looks like in terms of gradient. The road surface is pretty moderate, but the views are stunning! Along the way some stray cows, on top is a little restaurant for a well-deserved coke or beer.
Deze variant van de Battaglia die vanuit Nessa start begint met een goede opwarmer over de eerste paar kilometer, maar maakt dan bij het kerkje een bocht naar rechts waar een stuk van 350 meter à 15％ gemiddeld ligt. Grotendeels staand op de pedalen begint het vanaf hier eigenlijk pas serieus. De laatste 5 km gaan aan bijna 10％ gemiddeld door tot aan de top, wat het tot een vrij zware klim maakt. Iedere km word je met een bordje op de hoogte gehouden hoe de volgende km qua stijgingspercentage eruit ziet. Het wegdek is vrij matig, maar de uitzichten zijn prachtig! Onderweg wat verdwaalde koeien, bovenop zit een restaurantje voor een welverdiende cola of bier.
