A steady and serious climb, but not very exciting.
The road is very good.
Unfortunately, it gets a little boring. There isn't much to catch the eye. The hilltop village of Berre is disappointing (too many new houses have been built and too much restoration work has been done in a hurry with cement!)
A real shame.

La route est très correcte.
Hélas, on s’ennuie un peu. Il n’y a tout de même pas grand chose qui accroche le regard. Le village perché de Berre est décevant (trop de maisons récentes sont venues s’agglutiner, trop de restaurations réalisées à la va vite au ciment !).

Ridden in combination with the Col de Braus. This is a fine warm-up. Will not be super heavy, but over 7 kilometres of climbing. After descending to L'Escarene, you can add the Col de Braus to it.
Gereden in combinatie met de Col de Braus. Dit is een fijne opwarmer. Wordt niet superzwaar, maar wel ruim 7 kilometer klimwerk. Na afdaling naar L'Escarene kan je de Col de Braus eraan vast plakken.
Climbed during Paris-Nice challenge 2022 (13 March) cold day with lots of wind. Segment does not quite correspond to STRAVA segment as it turns right before Berre-les-Alpes. It is a nice regular climb. Little traffic in spring. Chance of meeting pros as they do train here (living in Monaco!).
Beklommen tijdens Paris-Nice challenge 2022 (13 maart) koude dag met veel wind. Segment komt niet helemaal overeen met STRAVA segment omdat dan voor Berre-les-Alpes rechtsaf wordt geslagen. Het is een mooie regelmatige klim. In het voorjaar weinig verkeer. Kans op ontmoeten profeesionals want die trainen hier wel (wonend in Monaco!).
