Bernhard & Juliana

A lovely climb that starts on poorly laid cobblestones and transitions into smooth tarmac. Halfway up, you descend slightly until you reach the right-hand bend, where you have to climb a little again, but it doesn’t get steep from there. There is, however, a blind priority junction which really slows you down; I had to stop to cross. It ends on the busy Utrechtseweg.

As far as I'm concerned, just a bit more fun than its neighbour because of the (OK though a bit bumpy) cobbled road through green surroundings and just a bit more variation in percentages. But then again, it is not worth an extra star. In the last part you have to be careful when crossing the main road, but it is not busy.

This climb is very similar to its namesakes in terms of road surface. The vowels are as dubious at Bernhard as it could have been at the time. By contrast, the road surface at Juliana is a lot more lovely. Otherwise, don't expect much from the scenery or the gradients.
