Nice spicy climb with a nice "top" at the Belgenmonument. The steep part is already quite challenging - especially for this region - but the many thresholds make it even more solid.
Lekker pittig klimmetje met een mooie "top" bij het Belgenmonument. Het steile gedeelte is al - zeker voor deze regio - flink aanpoten maar de vele drempels maken het nog wat steviger.
The most annoying hill in Amersfoort, but therefore one of the nicest. The speed bumps, bricks and gradient (the last part) make it a tough ride, especially because no matter how you take it, you can't really take much speed with you.
At the top it is best to turn right and then pass the Belgenmonument to continue your route.
Finding the beginning can also be a challenge, in my rounds I often take only the steep part, the Willem Alexanderlaan.
De vervelendste pukkel van Amersfoort, maar daarom wel een van de leukste. De drempels, klinkers en hellingsgraad (het laatste gedeelte dan) maken het toch een pittig ding, helemaal omdat je hoe je hem ook pakt eigenlijk nooit heel veel snelheid mee kan nemen.
Bovenaan kan je het best rechts en dan langs het Belgenmonument om je route te vervolgen.
Het vinden van het begin kan ook nog een uitdaging zijn, in mijn rondjes pak ik dan ook vaak alleen het steile gedeelte, de Willem Alexanderlaan.
