Of course, it is only a small climb but a very nice one for this area. The climb actually starts at the little bridge over the stream which is a nice rough little valley with bog and fallen trees. The road climbs briefly, then descends again and continues up a side valley with a nice left turn and then towards the plateau. Good tarmac but the descending section into the stream valley (i.e. before the climb), is gravel - which is excellent though.
Het is natuurlijk maar een kleine klim maar voor dit gebied wel een heel fraaie. De klim begint eigenlijk al bij het bruggetje over de beek wat een mooi ruig dalletje is met moeras en omgevallen bomen. De weg stijgt even, daalt dan weer en gaat daarna met een leuke bocht naar links verder omhoog een zijdal in en daarna richting de hoogvlakte. Goed asfalt maar het dalende stuk het beekdal in (dus voor de klim), is gravel - wat wel uitstekend te berijden is.
Part of the Aachen-Jülich railway cycle path, an almost continuously asphalted route. The climb itself starts with a left-hand bend with high percentages (watch out for oncoming traffic). It then remains at around 6 per cent until the ascent flattens out. The entire part of the climb is in a quiet forest, which is replaced by fields at the end of the climb.
Teil des Bahnradwegs Aachen-Jülich, einer fast durchgängig asphaltierten Strecke. Der Anstieg selber startet mit einer Linkskurve mit hohen Prozentsätzen (Besonders auf Gegenverkehr aufpassen). Und bleibt anschließend bei ca. 6 Prozent, bis der Anstieg abflacht. Der gesamte Teil des Anstieges liegt in einem ruhigen Wald, der am Ende der Steigung von Feldern abgelöst wird.
