Very tough climb, especially if you already have a lap with a previous climb of the Angliru in your legs.... A necessary evil if you want to get to Pola de Lena, it involves a big road with a fair amount of traffic and no particularly stunning views. At the top, you do have a nice view, including of Pola de Lena located in the valley.
I did have reasonable weather. The view here is also worthwhile. Indeed a wide road but amount of traffic not too bad.
An OK climb and not too difficult. I did this on a very rainy day so didn't get any views at all. It's a fairly wide road, so not much to see anyway, I guess. Good surface so it's just a case of getting into your rhythm and head up.
I did this after doing Emita de Alba, and think of this as just something to get over for the loop I was doing.
