Lovely long climb, lapping for a while but suddenly becoming vicious. Longest climb in NRW.
Heerlijke lange klim, die een tijdje doorkabbelt, maar opeens ook venijnig wordt. Langste klim van NRW.
A climb with a long and gentle run-up that averages more towards the 2％, and then there are also some bumps and downhill sections in the course. Quite relaxed but going too fast here is going to have an impact later on. The first part offers a wide scenery and passes through nice hamlets. Where it goes up (after Rehsiepen) it really goes up and curve after curve you cycle up through the forest. After the triple junction, the climbing continues for a while, then it becomes more relaxed, the scenery becomes more open again (nice views over the left) and finally there is a slight final climb in Altastenburg, although you really feel it with the rest of the climb in your legs. The whole road has really perfect tarmac, a pleasure to ride.
Een klim met een lange en rustige aanloop die gaat gemiddeld meer richting de 2％, en dan zitten er ook nog wat bultjes an afdalinkjes in het parcours. Wel relaxed maar hier te hard gaan gaat later wel impact hebben. Het eerste deel biedt een weids decor en loopt door leuke gehuchtjes. Waar het gaat stijgen (idd na Rehsiepen) gaat het ook écht stijgen en bocht na bocht fiets je door het bos omhoog. Na de driesprong gaat het klimmen nog even door, daarna wordt het weer relaxter wordt de omgeving weer opener (mooi uitzicht over links en volgt er uiteindelijk nog een licht eindklimmetje in Altastenburg, al voel je die echt wel met de rest van de klim in de benen. De hele weg heeft werkelijk perfect asfalt, een genot om te rijden.
